Meet the Owner
Trish Cook, Owner of Cook Care Management, started her journey toward becoming a Care Manager when she was only 14 years old. Her grandparents had Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, and Trish the time she spent with them during their last years sparked a passion for helping older adults that continues to this day.
Trish prepared herself for Care Management by receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, followed by a Masters degree in Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In addition to her volunteer work at nursing homes and role as an activities aid in a continuing care retirement community, Trish participated in several internships that familiarized her with a wide variety of resources and communities available to the senior population of North Carolina. She also took on the challenge of serving as an advocate for seniors in a low income community. After graduation from UNC Greensboro, Trish was hired as an Aging Life Care Manager and it was during that employment opportunity she finished the requirements for her certification in Care Management. She earned her Care Manager Certification through the Academy of Certified Care Managers.
Trish opened the doors of Cook Care Management in 2015, dedicated and determined to make a positive impact in the lives of the aging population. Trish provides a wealth of knowledge to people who need assistance with the changes that occur with aging. Trish is also an Advanced Professional Member of the Aging Life Care Association and trained as Dementia and Alzheimer’s Support Group Facilitator.
